For the past 34 years Ira Mondry has held senior management positions in retail, venture capital, hospitality and commercial real estate businesses.
Mr. Mondry’s primary areas of responsibility with M Group include property acquisition, deal structure, financing and raising of equity. Prior to helping found M Group in 1993, Mr. Mondry held a variety of executive positions with Highland Superstores, Inc., a chain of consumer electronics stores, including Director of Real Estate, VP of Stores and President and CEO.
When Mr. Mondry joined Highland in 1980, the Company had 15 stores with revenues of $115 million. During his tenure with Highland, Mr. Mondry helped take the company public in 1985, with Goldman Sachs as its lead underwriter, and eventually grew Highland to a chain of 92 stores in 11 states with more than 10,000 employees and with revenues of $1 billion.
Mr. Mondry received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1976 and a J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1980.
